Negrete McLeod is one of ten members who voted against the FARRM Act’s passage in committee which contains over $20 billion in proposed cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP):

First-term Democratic Rep. Gloria Negrete McLeod of Chino is upset with how inflation adjustments to Social Security payments would be calculated in President Barack Obama’s proposed budget. In an online statement, the congresswoman said while she supports the president, she opposes a plan to change the inflation calculations to a “chained” consumer price index because it will cut Social Security benefits.
